Jac Morgan warns WRU he will leave Wales if Ospreys fold

Jac Morgan has told the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) he will leave club rugby in Wales if Ospreys cease to exist.

Ospreys say the Wales and British and Irish Lions flanker warned the governing body, which is considering cutting the number of professional teams.

Chief executive Lance Bradley told supporters of Morgan’s intentions at a meeting this week to discuss the hugely controversial proposals, that could see two of Ospreys, Scarlets, Dragons and Cardiff cut.

Morgan, the only Welsh player to be involved in the Lions series against Australia this summer, is the highest profile player to come out against the threat to his club.

The 25-year-old, named Wales Player of the Year last week, is out of contract at the end of the 2025-26 season.
